Herbert C. Reinbolt
December 10, 1920 - May 26, 1981

......my wonderful dad, was killed in a tragic accident, on May 26th, 1981, when his farm tractor was struck by a train.......I think of him every day, and know he is still by my side.

The Wind Beneath My Wings

It must have been cold there in my shadow
to never have sunlight on your face.
You've always been content to let me shine.
You've always walked one step behind.

I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength,
only a face without a name,
and I never once heard you complain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero
and everything that I'd like to be.
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the Wind beneath my Wings.

You might have thought it went unnoticed
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth
That I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero
and everything that I'd like to be.
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the Wind beneath my Wings.

John Michael Montgomery wrote and performed
this song in memory of his father.
It describes perfectly how I too feel,
even after all these years.

I MISS YOU A LITTLE...

sometimes a song can touch a nerve
that takes me back to you
when i pick up my old guitar
and i play your favorite tune
every now and then
some little thing i've buried comes bubbling up
and once in awhile
you feel close enough
to touch

i miss you a little
since you've been gone
a few little memories
keep hanging on
i miss you a little
i guess you could say
a little too much
a little too often
a little more every day

when i go by our old house
i pretend that you're still there
waiting for me
on the porch
but there's just an empty chair
wish i could see you
just one more time
before i drive away
so i could stop
go inside
and say

i miss you a little
since you've been gone
a few little memories
keep hanging on
i miss you a little
i guess you could say
a little too much
a little too often
a little more every day

a little too much
a little too often
a little more every day
